Jane Seymour has been in the public eye for decades as an actress, author, and model. Her always youthful look has resulted in a good amount of gossip about her appearance including the idea that she had plastic surgery in the past such as a facelift. For years, Seymour denied having any type of work performed on her body in order to maintain an appearance that looks younger than her age. Those denials are over as the seventy-two-year-old actress has finally confessed to past celebrity plastic surgery.
After multiple decades of telling the press and the public that she never had any work done in the past, the former “Bond Girl” has finally admitted to having multiple plastic surgery procedures. According to Jane Seymour, she had breast implants placed in her body at the same time as another procedure. “My eyes were done when I was 40 and at the same time I had my boobs done. The guy who did it said to me they didn’t make the implants that small. I had to get a special order.” She went on to add, “I thought I had made a big mistake but I think that was probably, you know, after breastfeeding a bunch of children.”
In addition to her breasts and her eyes, Seymour also shared the fact that she had Botox treatments. However, she does not want to have Botox injected into her face again. “I have tried it. But as an actress I don’t think it works. I don’t have anything against it. I’m just saying if I’m playing a woman of my age who has to be animated I think it’s useful to actually have the muscles working.
The actress first gained fame in 1973 with her role in the James Bond movie, “Live and Let Die.” As the years passed, she remained a sex symbol to people of all ages to the point that she did a photo shoot for Playboy for the third time at the age of sixty-seven. That photo shoot also made her the oldest woman to ever pose for Playboy magazine.
During that third interview, the actress told the magazine that her appearance was all natural and that she was simply following the aging process. She told the magazine, “I haven’t done any surgeries or injections or anything. I haven’t done any of it, so I still look like ‘me.’ Every day I’m kind of tempted, but then I look at people I know and I don’t [recognize] them. I’m authentically being me. That’s important to me.”
Her denial of any type of plastic surgery was still part of her public image as recently as last year. Seymour told Prevention.com last year, “I have not done facelifts or all of those things and fillers just because honestly I don’t think I’ve ever worked as much as I have right now and I am able to be authentic. You need a face that moves.”
One of the procedures that Jane Seymour admitted to having in the past was the placement of breast implants in her body. Breast augmentation via the use of breast implants is when the surgeon enhances the size and the shape of the breast through the placement of breast implants under the chest muscle or behind the breast tissue. The breast implants can be filled with silicone or saline (sterile salt water). The size of the breast implants is discussed with the patient and the final decision is based on the amount of augmentation desired by the person and the need to make sure the size of the breast implants is appropriate for the body frame of the patient. There are multiple reasons that breast augmentation can be performed, and they include adding volume to breasts that are small in size, helping to create a more voluptuous figure for the person, and restoring or fixing the balance of asymmetrical breasts.
Botox can be injected into different sections of the face in order to help lessen the look of wrinkles and fine lines and also give the skin a smoother look. The doctor will inject Botox into a muscle that is located near a wrinkle. Once it is injected, neuromuscular blockers work to limit the amount of muscle contractions that occur in the area where the Botox was placed. The limiting of muscle contractions allows the muscles to relax so there is a reduction in the appearance of unwanted wrinkles and a gaining of a smoother look to the skin. Botox is generally placed in areas of the face that have wrinkles due to excessive amounts of frowning or squinting. Some of the areas of the face where wrinkles occur because of the excessive frowning or squinting include above the nose, the forehead, and the corners of the eyes. Since Botox relaxes the muscles in the treated area, the skin has time to smooth out since it is not being pulled or contracted on a regular basis.
